 Area of Research

Theoretical models of  electrochemical processes give information about the mechanism and kinetics  of reactions. Thus the information gained from modelling can be used in design, optimization and prediction of the electrode’s response.

The Rajendran Group has interests ranging from fundamental electrochemistry (theory of electron transfer and of mass transport) to making chemical sensors; Current work also focuses on electrochemistry in biosensors, and enzyme electrodes. We adopt a bottom-up approach developing new analytical methods to investigate the kinetics and mechanisms of interfacial reactions.
